Landon Polack
Working across furniture and discursive goods, Landon Polack seeks to design ordinary objects that reveal hidden narratives and evolve through use. His practice distills observations into forms, that quietly reframe how time and attention are experienced.

FEATURED WORK

Experience 6PM light, every day. Streak Light marks time through repetition, acting as a ritual indicator within the home. The light turns on once per day, for one hour, shifting one’s attention to the present. Over the course of an hour, the light transitions from warm to cool, adding subtle dynamics within a space.

Tell time through one’s possessions. Two shelves function as an ambient clock. The upper shelf progresses with each hour, the lower with each minute. Light moves throughout the day, casting shifting shadows and activating the objects that live within one’s home. The design grows through use and observation; after months with the shelf, one can begin to tell time without a clock.
