I am driven by craftsmanship, systems thinking, and human-centered design, I’m particularly passionate about furniture design and creating adaptable, thoughtfully constructed pieces that balance durability and sustainability. My approach to design considers not only how objects look, but how they are built, how they function, and how they are experienced and lived with over time.

Soothe was a group project focused on redesigning a shoulder CPM (Continuous Passive Motion) machine to better meet patients’ needs in a home environment during post-surgery recovery. Our goal was to make the device more comfortable, intuitive, and adaptable to different living spaces, while keeping it safe and effective for rehabilitation.

The Marii Chair is a project developed during my co-op at Ikego in Berlin, Germany. This circular design project draws inspiration from Enzo Mari’s Sedia 1. The chair is constructed from modular components, all of which follow the same Ikego system and are interchangeable which allows for a variety of configurations and applications. As part of this project, I designed six pieces and cataloged a variety of components to support future designs.

I’ve learned so much during my time at DAAP, both in skills and in understanding what kind of designer I want to be. One of the most valuable parts of the experience for me, was getting to live in different cities throughout co-op rotations. Each place gave me a better sense of understanding what I wanted in a career and location for post graduation. I’ll miss the community I’ve built - having classes with some people for five years and others for just a semester created an environment that I loved being a part of. The combination of the work, people, and overall experience made DAAP memorable.
